Reminder: Accelerated Mathematics (Pre-Algebra): This course is a composite of the 7th grade curriculum and part of the 8th grade curriculum as defined by the North Carolina Standard Course of Study using the Common Core State Standards. It is recommended that students who elect to enroll in Accelerated Mathematics (Pre-Algebra) have a cumulative average of at least 90 in sixth grade mathematics, be well motivated, and not need constant reinforcement or tutoring in order to master new material. EXIT CRITERIA: For those who elect to enroll in Accelerated Mathematics, the following standard will apply:

- The last day to drop Accelerated Mathematics is the 19th school day. (Choice letters will be sent home prior to the 19th school day.) It is parent/pupil choice to elect to remain in or to exit from this class.
